Our next project is for a Dutch children's hospital called: "Wilhelmina Children's Hospital" in Utrecht, the Netherlands. In this hospital is a children's theatre in wich plays are performed and dance- and music- recitals are given for all the children who are in the hospital. Also brothers, sisters and parents are more than welcome to watch the shows. For children who are not able to attend the shows, the actors wil visit the children at their beds. The shows are also taped and broadcasted via a internal TVchannel.

For this project we need a lot of money and that is were you all come in:

We are looking for sponsors:

The Mighty Maaik Eleven Citytour.
Finally the day has come. May 16th 2005. The big ride of 240KM, passing 11 cities in Friesland in the north of Holland.

We were highly motivated. Ingrid, Roger, Guy, Alex, Rene and Ed were ready to face the challenge (next to 14.994 other riders)

After a short night, we started at 5:30 AM in Bolsward. It was cold, but spirit was high. The next stop was Harlingen. "Only" 218km to go.

After another few short stops we arrived in Dokkum. Ingrid's family helped us with coffee and sandwiches. Still 158 Km to go.

At around 1:00 pm we arrived again in Bolsward. 7 hours on a bicylce and we allready passed the 140km sign. 100KM to go.

After 193 km Roger's knee started to hurt and after a short stop, he had to stop. The other 5 went on. It started to rain and the last part of 47km got harder and harder. It was cold and windy and between 7:00pm and 7:30pm Alex, Ed, Ingrid, Guy and Rene finished the tour. Very tired, but very happy.

The main goal of this ride was offcourse the Wilhelmina children's hospital. We are currently receiving a lot of money into the foundations' account. But donations are still more than welcome.
